In conjunction with our risk management department, the Account Manager will apply analysis andexpertise in order to deliver and support benefit solutions that meet our clients unique needs. This position requires experience in agency client management with a strong understanding of the sales, service and marketing process for group health and welfare accounts.
Responsible for the daily management of client accounts and coordinating the placement of their insurance coverage with carriers
Responsible for providing overall service of assigned customers and/or policies and soliciting of new business on existing accounts
Fosters and manages overall relationships with clients and ensures retention of existing book of business
Deliver recommendations on new benefit offerings and communication strategies to existing clients and employees as needed, or accompany producer in making presentations
Assist clients regarding their renewal, including conducting enrollment meetings, distributing forms and materials, and answering rate and benefit contract questions.
Follow up with clients, and other team members assigned to the account on action plans to ensure decisions are implemented, contracts prepared, and appropriate parties are notified
Anticipate clients' needs and proactively initiate,3te communication and/or resolution through introductory calls, pro-active semi-annual service calls, and frequent updates during the life of an issue
Communicate complex rules to clients and employees to achieve understanding and facilitate decision-making
Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity
College Degree or equivalent work experience
State Life & Health License Required
2 years of experience in Employee Benefits with Agency experience handling own book of business
Strong knowledge of Employee Benefit practices and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities
Microsoft Office skills, including thorough working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus
Team player who is organized and enjoys assisting others
Strong verbal, written communication and customer service skill
Very detail oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
